Summer retail tours are the highlight of my year. It’s an absolute privilege to spend three days touring stores with retailers, and getting insight on the ins and outs of the garden center business. If you’ve never been on a tour before, I highly recommend you go. I can guarantee the ideas you bring back will more than cover the cost of your trip.
This year, Garden Centers of America will be touring stores in the Portland, Ore., metro area, June 28-July 1. You can find all the registration details on GCA’s Web site. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic trip. The folks at GCA were kind enough to provide a visual sneak peek of two of the stops: Al’s Garden Center and Cornell Farm.
